Royal Purple Room Decor

Recently I have taken it upon myself to decorate my 2 daughters rooms. This first one I am posting is the purple & gray room. I made the vertical stripes which I believe made the room seem a lot taller. The mirrors hanging on the wall were actually yard sale pick ups! Like I have told you before, a little spray paint can go a long way and these mirrors show just that.

Colors of Summer

Hey everyone!
So I have finally had the chance to do an OOTD and this outfit I'm posting today is perfect for a summer night out. Since the summer nights are warm you can definitely wear this to a party or just out for a girls night :)
I love the pop of color that I have incorporated with this outfit which shows in the bright turquoise!

Hey everyone! I have not been able to post anything lately since I started this blog due to work! I have been soo busy but I finally have a minute to write a quick post. Get To Know K&L

                                                       Who exactly is K&L?

K stands for Karen and L stands for Lizbeth.  We are a mother/daughter duo who have a passion for fashion, interior design, baking, & bargain thrifting. Here's a little bit more about us personally....

Karen:

Hi my name is Karen and I am 22 years old. As far as I can remember, I have loved anything that had to do with fashion & interior design. I grew up watching my mom get dolled up and always looking her best. Not only that, she was also an amazing interior designer which got me interested in it as well. Growing up I did not have the right knowledge or tools to perfect my look exactly how I wanted it. The older I got, the more interested I became in fashion. I began to buy magazines, look online at outfit ideas and was constantly trying to dress similar to what I had seen in numerous websites and magazines. After getting my first job, I began to shop constantly. I enjoyed being able to buy whatever I wanted and was in love with the idea of being able to be whomever I wanted. Now, I am still looking out for the best deals and also splurging on a few designer items here and there. Here you can find all of my favorite fashion finds and also a few baking tips along the way. Fashion is an art and you can make it any way you desire . So be exactly who you want and don't be afraid to show your passion for fashion!

Hi my name is Lizbeth and I am 39 years old. Growing up I loved fashion. At age 6 I learned how to sew and make my own clothes. By age 12, I lived with my father and did not have any fashion inspiration around me. I turned to TV to get fashion ideas and was inspired by Madonna, Cindy Lauper and all the the 80's & 90's fashion icons. I began to sew and make my own clothes and sold them to all the neighborhood girls. I can honestly say I grew up different then most girls my age. I enjoyed going with my mother to thrift stores and looking at home decor rather than playing outside. I loved decorating anything I could get my hands on. Currently, I decorate everything in my home the way I envision it without over spending. I can show you how to bargain shop and turn something inexpensive into something beautiful. Interior design is in my blood and here you will see how much I really love doing this. One of my biggest dreams is to be on HGTV design star and hopefully working hard, that dream will come true one day!
